    The story is pretty much the same. Some scenes got deleted here and there but there were also some added - like Mikhail hitting on some girl before Sheryl's concert. The biggest adjustment was during Sheryl's concert, but doesn't affect the story at all. Kinda sad that they removed some of the dogfight scenes though. Its still an excellent anime. Plus one very good reason to dl this is that it has a preview for episode 2 that's expected to be aired on April 11, 2008. Enjoy! :)

    I-Z..you mean Infinite Zero, the same obnoxious sub group who did Dragonauts and inserted those annoying comments after the OP in EVERY episode? Pass. I'll wait for Shinsen or other subbers.

    the quality is excellent and it's only 170mb. also the quality of the translation is pretty good.

    I can't play this.

    On Linux in mplayer the indexing is all off and the subtitles go out of whack about 10 minutes in.

    On Windows with CCCP drivers and Media Player Classic I get an error "a bad public movie atom was found in the movie" and it doesn't play at all.

    I double checked my torrent and it downloaded correctly. It's a pity because the first 10 minutes looked awesome.

    Any help? Thanks in advance!

    @CanadianTarget Have you tried using CCCP's Zoom player? In my opinion it's better than VLC, and it can play all formats.

    I don't appear to have zoom installed. However, I really need this to play in mplayer, as my HTPC connected to my 37" LCD TV runs Linux/MythTV.

    It looks like a corrupted download, but it checked out OK.

    Verified it works in Zoom player. That's the only player I've managed to get it to work in.

    Sorry, give the choice I'll take Gattai's crummy subs over the inability to watch from my couch. :(

    Updating to the latest CCCP drivers makes the problems on Windows go away.

    Now to look for a Linux solution...

    I can verify upgrading to the latest mplayer svn makes the problem go away.

    I have a mac and using quicktime I get an error saying that "an invalid public movie atom was found in the movie." I'm guessing there's a problem with a codec, but I'm not video-savvy enough to fix this on my own. Is there a way to re-encode the file or something? It works fine in VLC, but I want to add it to my itunes library, and it refuses to work. I tried exporting it out of VLC but it didn't work at all. Any ideas? All the other mp4 releases from AiA have been awesome!
